La diversidad de género en educación física, un proyecto de aprendizaje-servicio

Abstract

This project is carried out in the Degree of Primary Education of the School of Education and Sport of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), linked to the Final Degree Work. It seeks to address themes related to identity and gender diversity, making use of the Learning-Service methodology, demonstrating that the Physical Education classes also serve for theoretical learning and collect the learning process of the student as a future teacher. The participating students were a group of 6 Primary Education (n=20) from Zumaiena College (Zumaia, Gipuzkoa) during the 2022/2023 academic year. Ten sessions have been designed with 22 dynamics that have as main objective to break and work roles and gender stereotypes. During the service several tools have been used, such as rubrics, diaries and observation sheets to record the development and results of the project. The results obtained show the students' reflexive work on gender issues and the personal and academic enrichment of the person in charge of the design and implementation of the project. It is concluded that gender diversity is still a pending subject in the early stages of school and that it is possible to work in a dynamic and fun way.
